Activity 4A: Perceived Overweight and Actual Weight Risk Classification

Have students respond to the survey on the Perceived Overweight and Actual Weight Risk Classification Worksheet. Collect class data on the number of male and female students that thought they were overweight and the number of male and female students who were attempting weight loss. Students may be sensitive to these questions. Collect their responses to the questions and tally them on the board. Have students compare their results with the findings of nationwide high school students who were asked these questions.
