Activity 4F Part 1 : Kablooie: When Aneurysms Erupt

This lab is very simple and quick for you and your students! Students will use a pump, bike tube, and a ruler to test compliancy. First students will measure the diameter of the tube before it is inflated. Then students will add 50 pounds of pressure and measure the new diameter of the bike tube. Students will repeat this 6 more times. Once all of the data has been collected your students will calculate the volume of the tube each time the pressure increased. After graphing their data, students will be able to describe the relationship between volume and pressure and what it has to do with blood vessels in our body.
