Activity 5B: Means of the Age of Subjects

Using the computer, the students will find the mean age of the people taking the survey. The students should record their answers on a piece of paper. Lead the students through this activity using the following directions: What did the students discover from this activity? What was the average age of the people surveyed?
  1. Click on the cell where you want to display the average of the ages (i.e., B103). Type =average(b2:b101). This could also be done by copying cell H103 or I103, and pasting into cell B103.
