Activity 5C: Means of Education Levels

Using the computer, the students will find the average grade completed by the participants surveyed. The students should record their answers on a piece of paper. Lead the students through this activity using the following directions: What did the students discover from this activity? What was the average grade completed and why do they think that it is so low?

  1. Click on the cell where you want to display the average of the Education Years (i.e., C103). Type =average(c2:c101). This could also be done by copying any of the previously computed averages (e.g., cell H103, I103 or B103), and pasting into cell C103.
