Activity 5E: Family Oral Health Survey

Form groups and assign the following homework: Have the students survey family members for treatments of tooth decay. Look for amalgam fillings, gold fillings, crowns and bridges. Come back the next day and collect data from each person in the group. Have each group prepare a bar graph and compare each group's information. Each group will combine their information to make a group bar graph to display their data. Be sure the students label their graphs with “types of oral procedures” and “number of people.”
