Activity 6B: A Marketing Strategy

Once students have created a product or service, they should plan their marketing strategy. Their final product may include any or all of the following: a newspaper or magazine advertisement, a radio commercial, a promotional flyer, or a billboard, but a television commercial is suggested so that material may be videotaped for Older Friend Day. Students should think about an appropriate image and slogan, as well as appropriate propaganda techniques. Refer to "Guidelines or Non-Biased Marketing to the Older Population." Students should complete marketing strategy and write the commercial or ad, using "Copy Writing Suggestions for Television Commercials."
